This track is from the first “album” I made, a tape called “Indie-Rock Fortune Cookie”, recorded on 4-track by Whip on July 18 and 19, 1998. “Gravity Sue” has backing vocals by Babs, Whip and Tony San Marco, an overdubbed guitar solo by me, and a chord change that was co-written with Joe Lee. Alicia Perre-Dowd had a hand in it somewhere too. “Indie-Rock Fortune Cookie” was “released” at my first ever gig other than open mic appearances, which was at the Sidewalk Café in NYC on July 28, 1998 (if I remember the date correctly). Over the following years I think I
sold maybe 100 or 200 copies (for $3 each). In 2001 I made a CDR of this album, I think 100 or 200
were made and sold.
